We aim to make inclusive spaces that are warm and kind to ALL people.
All folks who choose to share these spaces are recognized and respected as individual complex wholes - every person has a universe of experience inside them, and we will honour that experience, however it shows up in our community.
We aim to find the joy in the ordinary, and make extra-ordinary efforts to create more joyful experiences.
We will all make mistakes - and that's okay! We see all mishaps as learning opportunities. It is also essential that we are willing to take ownership and responsibility for our actions at all times, and that we recognize when changes or apologies are necessary.
We believe that connection, community, and self-esteem are best achieved with a clear mind. We participate in Living Recovery unintoxicated - we come to community events not having misused psychoactive substances. We attempt to bring our best selves to these spaces, please do not drink or use substances before or during our events.
The interests, passions and desires of every participant in our spaces are important. We want to hear all about them, and we're excited to explore any suggestions or feedback you bring to the table.
We recognize our needs for rest, fuel, and comfort, and understand that when each person has the opportunity to take care of themselves, it serves the community as a whole.
We aim to respect these needs, and bring intention and gratitude to the times we get to practice rest, fuel, and comfort.
We honour these practices to bring awareness to the fact that some folks don't currently have these basic resources available to them.
We aim to bring self care in community to all spaces that need it
We believe that service work and advocacy can bring true joy and togetherness to all those that experience to it. To engage in this joy, we actively schedule acts of service in our community programming on a regular basis.
